What is an energy crisis?

What is Venezuela's position on the energy crisis?

  • What does Venezuela think the UN should do to solve energy crisis

  • Answer:

To be honest, we dont have any position towards the energy crisis, at this moment our government is doing everything in its power to mantain itself, and seeing that the high prices of oil benefits the countries economy, the government is pushing for even higher prices by dropping production. This can be seen at www.opec.com and at www.opec.org Venezuela is not even offering an alternative or a different solution, to the government this is not a problem but an opportunity, and the opportunity is being exploited at its most and we are even looking for more....

Energy Crisis, what Energy Crisis? Venezuela has oil, the world needs it, the prices are high, what is the problem? I think people who pay the high prices for oil see a crisis. Those who earn the high prices do not. By the way the cost of gasoline in Venezuela is very cheap, about 12 cents US per gallon the last I read. I like the first posters answer. Very true.
