Depends on what type of hospitals. Most of the hospitals in the US have more advanced equipment since they are owned by private firms or well funded universities, while most of hospitals in Peru are ran on public funds, which is why they are often underfunded and overcrowded. Nonetheless, there are many private hospitals in Peru (called clinics) with very advanced infrastructure for those who can afford it.

In my experience, the hospitals in Peru appear to be much older, less well maintained, and without much of the simple technology people in the US take for granted, such as TV´s in the rooms.
