Have you been to the Galapagos islands?

Looking to do volunteering with giant tortoises in the Galapagos Islands!?

• I have been doing some research , and have started to plan a trip to do some volunteering in the Galapagos Islands. I am very interested in the conservation of the Giant Tortoises. I was planning to go on my trip for six weeks, and leave in the beginning of February. I was just wondering if anyone had ever been or if they knew of volunteering organizations based in the Galapagos islands, ( or not based in the Galapagos Islands) that are fairly reasonably priced :) Thanks. :)

  Your best bet is the Charles Darwin Foundation: http://www.darwinfoundation.org/english/pages/interna.php?txtCodiInfo=11 Most programs are more than 6 weeks, however. Plus, the foundation is involved with several important projects in addition to their tortoise breeding program, so you might not necessarily work with the tortoises.
