Does anyone no the best way to get the best deal on property in Costa Rica, Playa Jungiuall area. ?

In the last 5 years, real estate in CR has become demanding and prices have skyrocketed with development and so has the scam artists. Recently a Jaco Bank got conned out of $150,000 for an escrow deposit that was bogus. On the North Pacific Coast (where Playa Junquillal and Tamarindo is) has been a hot spot for real estate. Many big time developers have been building and promoting their developments in that region. However, due to the market crash, many are scrambling to sell at any cost. Before you even think about investing in any property, it is best to get an attorney and/or reputable real estate agent so they can do the due diligence and most important, negotiate to get the best prices. One of the things to keep in mind [as like the US], prices have been falling, so your negotiating power is a lot better. In Quepos [for example] have seen some lots that a year ago the owners wanted $100,000, and now have reduced the price to $75,000 and my guess is that you can do the same in Playa Junquillal.
