Best airport hotel near Liberia Int'l Airport (Costa Rica)?

  • I'm looking to stay one night near Liberia Airport in Costa Rica before an early flight. Which hotels are close to the airport and are the best deal (i.e. are the cleanest, most "Americanized" (if that's possible), and are the most inexpensive)? Also, do you know if any of the hotels near the airport offer free shuttle service to the airport, or would I need to get a taxi? Thank you.

    You didn't mention when you guys are going to be in Costa Rica, but I think one of the closest hotels to Liberia International Airport would be the "Hilton Garden Inn Liberia Airport", which is less than a mile away from the airport. It also has complimentary airport transportation and well, it's a Hilton (as americanized as can be). At $79 a night it's not a bad option for a 3 Star hotel (this was their chepeast rate for august 2010 at www.costaricahotelsearch.com).

I think many hotels have free shuttle...but why stay at a hotel when you can do many things....try to drive around and do fun things and go shopping!
