    What do you consider "reasonable"? From my experience, you can have all-inclusive but it's usually not that reasonable. Forget all-inclusive and just take the room. Then go eat at some local places near the resort. You get both a taste of real Costa Rican food (not some Americanized imitation) and you'll pay much less than what they charge for a meal at the resorts. Try the Flamingo Beach Resort in the town of Flamingo on the Pacific coast in the province of Guanacaste. They have really nice pool view (maybe even ocean view) rooms for $100-120. There are 2 good restaurants within walking distance and an AWESOME seafood restaurant about 20 minutes away in Brasilito called Happy Snapper. The fish and ceviche are so fresh you can smell the ocean. http://www.resortflamingobeach.com/ They have an all-inclusive option too: http://www.resortflamingobeach.com/our_resort/all_inclusive_resort.cfm There is also a tour office in the hotel. They can book you on ANY adventure tour you can think of (zip lines, rafting, fishing, ATV, rain forest, etc). I know the owners well (Mike is American and Victor is a Tico), they are good guys and will take care of you. I'm not shilling either, I really like and recommend the place, my wife and I stay there every year.

Hello Lisa, How good to know that you are considering Costa Rica for your next travel. Let me tell you about my experience last year. I went with my significant other and my kids to an all inclusive hotel in Guanacaste. This hotel is called 'Allegro Papagayo', I stayed for three nights and we loved it, for me the price was reasonable because I booked online and got a 40% discount and the payment was pretty safe. I am sure you will like it because you mentioned you like outdoors., the hotel is next to the beach, believe me you are literally 2 minutes away from the pool to the beach edge, that is awesome. The food was good, there was plenty of it. Drinks all day, shows at night, the hotel staff also have activities for kids. Animals...you will love this part, there is a bunch monkeys on the tress in the beach, they are so funny. Lisa, I hope you can visit Costa Rica you will like it a lot.
