Does anyone know any good volunteer programs in Chile?

• I'm searching through charities at the moment to find one that will allow me to do charitable work over the summer in Chile for around a month. Does anybody know any organisations that are taking people on to help out? Any information appreciated!

  The best and most reliable is Hogar de Cristo. You can contact them through their web page (www.hogardecristo.cl). They feed the poor, the old people, go to hospitals, etc. If you want something more "active", then contact Un techo para Chile (www.untechoparachile.cl) where you will build houses or "media aguas" which are like dry wall or wooden houses. I would recommend this last one as due to the recent earthquake, people need houses more than ever as some have lost everything.
