Where can i go fishing in Chile?

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeeee to fish but short of finding the fish market here i know nowhere to drop my line. i want to find the closest spot to Santiago, i dont need the whole commercial thing, free is always better. i just wanna drop my line and walk home with my fish i know about the lake district but being Jamaican i am not too excited about the cold. plus its too far for someone who doesnt have a ride also i dont have a fishing partner so if u r planning to go fishing let me know [email protected]

    Region de los Lagos or 10th region is the best due to its lakes full of fish.This region is the best for flyfishing. Lago Todos los Santos in Peulla is simply the best to catch trout and salmon. Lansdcape is breathtaking too!

The very best place for fishing is unfortunately, a bit far from Santiago in the South of the country near Puerto Natales or Puerto Montt (ocean, rivers). There are also lots of lakes further inland in the 10th region. Might be a bit cold anywhere you end up heading. I don't think there is any excelent fishing on the coast close to Santiago, nor in the mountain lakes/rivers close to Santiago. Best of luck and hope you find a spot to enjoy!
