Where would you like to go on ski vacation?

Ive been thinking of planing a trip to Chile this summer to ski, what are some great places?

  • Ive been doing some reasurch online of places to ski in Chile like Portillo, Nevado and a few others. I heard Portilllo is the nicest of all the ski resorts down there the only thing is its so secluded, no town and you cant really go any where else. But I would want to be able to visit other resort or find a ski place where the people are more my age. I am 28 male and im not saying Portilllo wont have a lot of singles my age but I don't want to find that it is all families with kids or older people. If I find a place that is more of a spring break atmosphere that is is great but If I don't it is ok to. I just want to find a place where there is great skiing, people my age, bars/clubs. I just want to set up the best vacation down there. Has any one been down to Chile skiing, and if so what would be the ideal vacation in my situation?

Portillo is definitely not the place you are looking for. I believe that Portillo Resort is a week-long vacation in which you must stay one week with all acommodation/food included but please check their website. There are no bars and the resort is so secluded that by night time everything will be quiet. Try other places. Portillo is definitely a family oriented resort. Good Luck.
