  • Will there still be a lot of young travelers in Europe in sept?? Hi there. I was supposed to go to Europe from August 310- Sept. 16th, but I may have ti push back my trip a week, so now it would be from Sept. .5 till the 23rd. however, I am a 23yr old female, solo traveler, and I'm worried that If I wait that late into the summer there won't be alot of other young travelers there, staying in the hostels, partying, etc. I want to meet a lot of people since I will be there by myself! I plan on going to Paris, Barcelona, Ibiza, and Rome. Has anyone ever been there during this time and are my worries accurate or will there still be tons of young travelers?? Thank you.

    I don't think you'll have any problems finding other travelers in Europe that time of year. July and August are the high vacation times in Europe, but even in September you are still going to have PLENTY of people around, especially young backpackers. I went to Spain in December, and had no trouble making new backpacker friends.

As stp said it's not high season for traveling, but european people atleast travel alot between seasons too around europe. because not so many families are on holidays between holidays , so the people that are there are most likely the same spirited travelers as you are. funloving and so on. :) don't worry. young people are very hospitable in those cities! and you get to experience not only the whole holabaloo that goes around them during high season, but to enjoy your time there too.

Not as many as earlier in the year.... US colleges start in early September eliminating many of the students who travel. However, don't fret, there are advantages. You still will have many travelers and the hostels will not be so full that you cannot find one. have fun!!!
