How expensive is Prague these days?

What do I see in Prague for 2 days?

  • Hi, I am an Indian traveling to Prague for two days starting from tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what exactly to see in 2 days? An itinerary would be really helpful. - Also is a ballet/opera worth watching in Prague?

  • Answer:

Don Giovanni is constantly playing in Prague, it's worth seeing either the live performance or the puppet version - puppet shows are a tradition there. As for things to do - definitely go spend time in the castle & take some time to see the artisans & street performers on Charles Bridge. While you're in that area go to the Kafka museum. The Loretto near the castle is worth a visit too. There are some really good jazz groups that play there. There are often interesting exhibits on Kampa Island. I don't know if there's anything there right now. The last time I was in Prague was in August. See Wenceslaus Square - stop at the trolley cafe for Medovnik. While you're in that area, go into the national museum at the top of the square. See the astronomical clock and the old town square. Visit the Our Lady Upon Tyne church while there. Wander the streets to see the architecture. The Jewish Quarter is small, but interesting. Try the trdelnik if you come across a place making it.
