When is the best time to visit Iceland?

When is the best time of year to visit Iceland?

  • Answer:

Mid-June to early September is perfect for a trip. You will be rewarded with 24 hours of light (late May to late July) and the weather is okay. There may still be some rather frosty nights, but not too bad. All attractions can easily be reached (some also by public transport, if you don`t want a rental), you`ll find accomodation everywhere (some rural hotels are only open during the summer, they are boarding schools the rest of the year) and the risk of overflowing rivers is not that big.

NOW!!! Their economy has tanked and things are a bargain now !! You can stay in 5* resort now for under $400 for a 3 day stay..Airfares on Icelandair are pretty much under $500 from North America or Europe to Reykjavik..There are charters from Montreal in the summer months that are a great deal as well.

Well since a couple of European cities poured all of their money in Iceland banks and their ecomony has tanked, your plane may be landing on a big foreclosed sign.
