  • hi there,i will be in iceland between 7-21 february and i will stay in reykjavik:)what do you recommend to eat,see,visit,buy?which places are cool?the food and accommodation are offered by the camp.and do you recommend staying a few days longer which i will be all alone and have fully free time or i can see those things easily if i arrange my days and weekends well?i will be busy until 16 p.m. in weekdays.and what to wear for not to die from cold:) im 19 and female.

    Hi and welcome :) My recs are the following. *Ice skate on the pond (if it's frozen). *Visit the flea market (it's called Kolaportið and only open on weekends). *Visit the art museum (it's near the docks). *Visit the petting zoo. *Watch some local television. It can be fun even if you don't understand a word. *Have some candy, I promise you won't get it anywhere else. Refer to http://nammi.is/ *If you can afford it I recommend these coats, also the best thing to wear during the winter. http://www.66north.is/forsida/ *Walk down Laugavegur the main shopping street. *Go swimming, we have like 19 pools just in Reykjavik. You'll probably have had enough in two weeks. I guess it's interesting enough to a foreigner but Iceland in February isn't all that exiting. If you're gonna be traveling a lot within the city limits I suggest you get a two week bus card, it'll save you a lot of money. http://straeto.is/
