Traveling through Europe, Is this too much?
-
So, I've done a fair amount of traveling in Central and South America the last couple of years. This time, I've decided to go to Europe. I'm planning on going in May so I still have a few months to hammer out all the details. This is what I was thinking about doing though. Keep in mind, I only have 2 1/2 weeks to travel this time. Also, I'll be on a $2,000 spending money budget for the whole trip, (this doesn't include the airline ticket) 1) Fly from USA to Dublin, Ireland 2-3 days 2) Ferry/train to London, 3 days 3) Ferry/train to Paris, 3 days 4) Train to Brussels 2 days 5) Train to Amsterdam 2 days 6) Fly from Amsterdam back to USA I know this is a lot of moving around, and I am generally a fan of taking my time. I just want to see as much as possible in the time frame that I have. I am open to suggestions though. I'm willing to cut out/add different cities. Just keep in mind my time frame and budget.

You can do this and get highlights of each city. But you are really pushing it with a budget of $2000. your train fares between cities will be around $200, 16 days in hostels assume $30/ night, $480 (and this with some advance search and reservations to get in to the cheaper places) if you eat cheap, $20/day that's $320 so you are now down to $1000 for your 2.5 weeks, about $65/ day for metro/bus/trains and entry fees for attractions, which are not cheap these days. this is a really tight budget for europe. So don't plan on souvenirs. But do plan ahead for what you want to see and do in each of these places so you can be sure to have funds for the he things you most want to do. I suspect you may be having a fair number of sandwich lunches and dinners out at the park for meals. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but you should just have realistic expectations. Examples: Paris: eiffel tower,$18. 3 day paris metro pass $33, museum pass 2 day $52 It can be done but don't expect luxury while you're doing it. It CAN be a lot of fun on a shoestring, as long as you plan for the shoestring at the beginning.

That's is not a lot of money. Well first off 2,000 thousand won't last you unless you want to stay at horrible motels and yes Europe is very expensive I've been going to Turkey every summer with my mom and costs 1,500 Dollars. That's only coach. So it's very expensive to my understanding. Well good Luck with your trip. I hope I helped!
You cannot be serious. 3 days in Ireland? Are you taking the piss? 3 days in Paris - ditto? Come on. Stop this. You won't enjoy this. You have 2 and a half weeks, pick TWO places and savour those. And stop this nonsense.

Pick two cities, enjoy them. See the culture and the history. Your schedule as it currently stands, you'll only see the inside of planes, trains and the like. Where's the enjoyment there?

On $2000? You might not even make it to London on that!
