What can you tell me about Normandy?

Anybody tell me of D-Day tours in Normandy from the uk, possibly by coach(this is the cheapest way i think)?

  • I want to visit the beachs of D-Day and the massive grave yard for the people that were killed there. I have very vague memories of going when i was in school but that was 11 years ago now! Can you help me please. I come from Bristol so would either get the train to london or coach. But a coach pick up from bristol would be great. Thanks

    Try Leger Coach Holidays. I know they do holidays like this. We've been on a few holidays with them and they are very good.

yes i did it but many years ago and you should be able to get a coach in your area that does Normandy Tours have a scroll on here //hit with Normandy tours

Do what I did (I have a handbook of D-Day locations) just go to Normandy and make your own way around.but don`t forget to visit Ranville and Arromanches. Conversely check out your local bus/coach companies or browse online for nearest package tours to you.

Almost every coach company in UK organises trips to the war graves in France. Some of the bigger ones include Shearings and Wallace Arnold. Or try your local British Legion for a good local deal or Yellow Pages. This is about the only kind of coach tour I havn't driven, but it's a good way to go because almost certainly some of your fellow passengers will be ex military guys from those times or people with connections to those who died.
