Are thong bikinis OK for the beach in Hungary, Croatia etc?

I personally have only seen maybe one women in Hungary wearing a thong at the lakes.( she might of been a tourist) A few years ago, it was popular for women to go topless with only wearing a bikini bottom while suntanning and a few swam topless in the lake, not many actually walked around topless to get food or stroll around.The last several years I have been to the lakes in Hungary, I haven't seen as many topless women. Again most are only tanning and don't walk around without a top on. Mostly a two piece suit is worn in Hungary at the lakes. Swimmers at pools doing laps still wear a training suit, a one piece. Not even sure if any women are allowed to go topless at the public pools or spas, never witnessed it myself over a 8 year period of spending time swimming in Hungary. They are open about changing in front of others ect. but most women are still modest in general. Most women wear a sundress and street shoes and change before going swimming, not many go for the short and t-shirt look.Most places for swimming having changing rooms and lockers. The lakes have either private pay areas where you can shower and change or small little open style places for taking off your st. clothes( helps to have a friend hold up a towel since they are 3 sided booths.) They are broad minded. Croatia has several naturist beaches.
