Where in Europe should I go to for a trip?

Europe trip. Where to go?

• I am going to go backpacking across Europe with a friend either this summer or next. Can anyone help me with anything regarding the trip. Beautiful or fun places or events that maybe a tourist would not be able to come across. Good spots in europe. Maybe the best time to go. Really anything. I have no idea what to do. I know I want to go to London, Paris, Greece, Venice, and maybe Ireland. But little things or spots I don't really know. Please help! Ten points for the most help!! Thanks soo much

  This is what I would do: Make a list of the places that you have in your MUST SEE list. All those places you mentioned are MUST see places. Include in the list ALL the things you learnt at school about in history - that you want to "check out yourself" to see if your teacher was right! :D Add to the list Cities/Countries you have always dreamed to go to. For the cities you choose - do a Yahoo/Google search - type in "what to see in ...." (city name) - then you can read for yourself. You learn so much from that, believe me. Once you start reading you wish you were going right now! Do a Yahoo/Google Search - Hop-On-Hop-Off bus- that's the best way I think to see a big city, when you have no transport. It takes you to all the must see things & takes the hassle out of you wasting time looking up maps & finding bus routes & reading metro timetables in a foreign language . You buy a 24 hour ticket, so - you CAN stay on the bus & do the full circuit trip for 2 hours, then you can decide what places you want to go back to that day or again next day & get off & spend more time looking at. Some places a look see is enough, others you want to take a closer look at. Type in "Hop On Hop Off bus ...... " (City name to get the prices etc) Also you can do a Yahoo/Google search - on FREE Walking Tours/directions of city.... (add name here) - you can find directions pf places to see over a period of time. PS: You can get raped in ANY Country!!! Males same all-over the world!!! DON"T MISS OUT on Rome! Just be wise enough to go with your gutt feeling & you can always ignore, walk away, scream out FIRE, HELP, RAPE attract attention, someone will help 2 females in distress! Just be on guard for this type of thing - you will learn to be "street wise" pretty fast when you travel as a back packer... especially in Rome with the gypsies - do a SEARCH on Gypsies in Rome so you are aware of that too. But DON'T let all that put you off - thousands of young females backpack Europe alone every year. You will meet up with other's - listen to their stories and learn from them.
