Cannes or Nice?

Nice is the best bet Cheaper, excellent public transport, excellent beaches, excellent everything really. Cannes gets over crowded for my liking with too many 'posers' and not a many good quality cheap (but very good) shops or restaurants

I've been to both and I would say Cannes. Yes, it's full of "posers" but it's also full of normal regular tourists. Cannes is more charming with it's restaurants, shops, night life, hotels and marina. Also find some way to go to St. Paul de Vence and Villefranche. You'll not forget it.

nice for me it was great eating drinking and everybody just gets on with there daily life cannes to glitzy and touristy but pretty at night from a distance e.g nice

I would choose Nice, it´s very nice over there, a lot to see and experience.. As Cannes is so nearby, I recommend you to visit Cannes too. I assure you it´s worth it. Have a nice trip!

My boyfriend was on holiday in France last year and he liked Nice more than Cannes. He really fell in love with Nice...and my friends were in Nice too and they describe it as a beautiful place!
