How do I search for Paris, France and NOT get get stuff on Paris Hilton as well?

  • I am planning a month long stay in an apartment in Paris, France, so am using the web to search for info. I often get listings that include the bimbo with the last name of Hilton. How do enter my search with out results that include her? In particular, I am interested in walks, hopefully ones that list the itinerary with detailed info about what what I will be seeing with suggestions for stopping in for a coffee break or unique boutique. These would be non-commercial sites. I want to create my own walk. My problem is "Paris Hilton" often is among the items listed. Is there a "syntax" when entering the words in the search field that would eliminate "Hilton?" This would be so helpful for future searches as well. Thank you in advance for your solution(s.)     Type in -Hilton which will eliminate Hilton from your search. Try typing Paris, France, Tourism which will give you tourism listings.

You could try typing "Paris France" with the quotation marks, or Paris -Hilton, the minus sign before the word Hilton will omit all hits that include that word.

Try searching on "paris -hilton". It's the "-hilton" part that will exclude any page that contains the word "hilton". It's not perfect, but it will help a lot.
