How long does the summer time last in Finland?

• Hey guys! i'm 15 and planning on going to finland in the summer of 2012 yeah i know its pretty far away but i think its better to give myself more time to prepare:] so i was wondering what should i bring to finland it will be in the summer from late june to early august. I will be stayingn with a host family what should i bring them as gifts? what should i do there? are finnish people pretty nice ? and what do teens usually do there? Thanks!

  Normal summer weather (+15C to +20C usually), though do prepare for wind and rain as well. For gifts I would recommend something that represents you and your own country/culture. Finns might seem to be a bit reserved at first, but once you got past the "small talk" phase then it should not be a problem anymore. Teens here are just like any teen, many spend a lot of time hanging out with friends, watch a lot TV, use the computer/internet a lot, etc. You don't mention whereabouts in Finland you are about to stay, so it depends on the place what kind of things one can do.
