    I have talked to lots of romanian people, they are all great, and funny, and really cool. Well, i might just say that because i'm romanian too, but how could i say something bad about my own people?? Anyway, now you've "talked" to a romanian too!! :D

yes I spoke with hundreds mostly like the gossipping "burfa" but all of them knew to Have fun and to talk around the Table with some tuica or palinka. I like Romanian people la revedere Dimitris

I've been there twice, to the western part in the mountains. I talked with many Romanians, and was impressed with their English--especially younger people. I found the people warm and generous. Joining EU will be good for Romania. There will be some growing pains, of course, but good leadership can help them get over the stigma of "corruption" and instead focus resources on improving infrastructure. I think of Czech Republic in 1990 compared to Czech Republic now (I was there in 2004) and the change is dramatic. I think it will be the same for Romania.

I lived with my Romaian girlfriend in Timisoara for 1.5 years. Beautiful country. We took many trips around Romania. I liked Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, and Predeal the most. The people were warm, friendly, and helpful.. but honestly, always willing to get "just a bit more" from an American than a Romanian (price wise).
