How long does it take a package from the Netherlands to get to the USA?

• How long does it take to get a registered mail package from the netherlands to the USA? I live in Kentucky, and I was just wondering. Should it take a week or two, or 1 or 2 months? Is registered mail a safe way to ship? Will customs open the package?? Whats the chances?? Please help, I would really appreciate it. How long does registered mail take?? ps. I ordered a whole lot of adult dvds, will they get confiscated by customs?? is registered mail safe??

  I believe I've answered this question before. I live in The Netherlands and receiving a package from the US usually takes 7 days by priority mail. Regular mail can take more than 2/3 weeks. UPS is usually the fastest parcel company. Priority mail is, although way faster also way more expensive. It is safe to use registered mail and if you haven't paid more for priority mail, the shipping time will be 2 to 3 weeks at least. Customs always checks the package, they may not open it but they always scan it. I don't believe that they will confiscate adult DVDs as long as it doesn't contain anything illegal. You probably have to pay additional taxes, like import duties, once it arrives in the US and the amount all depends on how much you've ordered.
