When the best time travel to Europe?

  • Hi all, I want to traveling to Europe, London exactly. But I don't know when the best time to traveling?. I also want to know how many seasons in Europe and when the season began, like summer or other seasons? Thank you if you want to give me answer.

  • Answer:

London can be visited at any time of year. The summer (Mid May - Late August) is the most popular time because the weather is nice. You will have to deal with higher prices and tons of tourists. The temperatures will generally be in the high 70s to low 90s. The winter (late November - February) is the low season and you won't have to deal with tons of other people (unless you go right around Christmas). London will get a few pretty cold days (in the 20s) but it usually stays in the low 40s so that isn't too bad. The shoulder season (march-may and september - mid November) is usually fairly nice and not overcrowded with tourists. I've been to London in all four seasons and I like the Spring. It will be in the 60s and you can see a lot of the tourists stuff without having to wait in really long lines. I've written more about it here: http://thesavvybackpacker.com/689/choosing-when-to-travel-high-low-and-shoulder-season-in-europe/

Winter is not pleasant; often grey and wet if not too cold. Summer in London can be horrid. Just think of all those bodies in a tube train with NO aircon! Spring and/or autumn are best. Cooler but pleasant! When it is cold in London it can be very cold, but generally not as bad as on the nearby continent. Because it is THE biggest city in Europe, summers can frankly be hell in such a big conurbation.

the best time travel to europe is the tardis.

For most seasoned travelers, the best time to see Europe is from April to June and September to October when the weather is still warm, the holiday crowds have left and accommodation and transport are regularly priced. In contrast, the single worst time to visit most parts of Europe (especially the western and southern countries) is the month of August. This is when many Europeans leave and take their holidays in nearby countries as well. The cities can be deserted and as a result, accommodation prices shoot up and finding a bed can be very difficult. Buses and trains will often be packed and it can be a struggle to get a seat while you cross countries. Even most tourist shops and sites can be closed because the proprietors have gone on holiday as well! There's little doubt that July and August are the busiest tourist months in Europe (mainly because of Americans on vacation) and it will require a lot of patience and money. Avoid these months as much as you can. If you really must travel in the high season, your best course of action is to stay away from the major cities and choose the off-track towns and villages and indulge in the local culture.
