How can I get a tourist visa in Germany?

Is Switzerland part of the EU? and if not, can you go from Germany to Switzerland and get your visa renewed?

  • I want to stay in Germany for one year with my partner who has a job offer. I can´t get on his visa so I would go on a tourist visa. How do I get it returned. Thinking I could go to Switzerland.
