HELPP!! TO GO TO EUROPE OR NOT???
-
My boyfriend and his friends have been planning to go to Europe in July for 5 weeks, because they have free accommodation In London and have invited me to go with them in mid july. At first I wasn't sure about the Idea if i would have enough money and if i should go again, because I went last year to Europe for 7 weeks but only was in London for 1 day before contiki. I was thinking about going for three weeks because my course finnishes at the end of June and would work out, But my boyfriend really wants me to go for 5 weeks and says that theres no point in spending 2,000 AUD in air fares for 3 weeks, My mum is really against the whole Idea and says that i should getting into a full time job after my course finishes in the end of June, and says I can't afford to go because I have to pay off my car registration and insurance... she says that it's up to me because i'm old enough to make my own decisions. But I really want my parent's approval.. I don't want to go over there knowing they are not supporting me and my decisions. I've figured out how much i need to save by the time i go away and pay off my car at the same time Ive picked up more shifts at my current job, I have 4,000 dollars in my bank account. and if i save 300 dollars a week and live like a poor person till then i should have over 8,000. Plus my birthday is coming up so i could ask for money from my parents. My boyfriends mum says 8,000 AUD including air fares is all Im going to need because were going to be Living it cheap over there backpacking and hostels and having free accomidation, not like when i went last year and was staying in hotels, and had saved up 20,000 and came back with money. But im not sure 8,000 is going to be enough, i don't want to go broke when im over there and have to borrow money of my boyfriend. I know Europe is very expensive wish i had more time to save up money... I do have family in Holland so if worst comes to worst i could stay with them I need to Make a Decison SOON so i can book airfares as they seemingly keep going up....errrr should I go or not??

You only live once. And you don't need your parents' approval on everything. If you sought their approval all the time you would never experience anything new. And that amount of money is MORE than enough. Have fun :)
