Where is Cuenca in Spain?

Where are the best places to visit in Italy, France and Spain?

  • Hi, I'm planning a 5-6 week trip through Italy, France and Spain. I have a rough itinerary (see below). I'd really like to know which places are worth staying longer and which places I can skip because they either aren't that interesting, because they are similar to somewhere else I'm already going or because they will be a pain to get to for someone whose traveling alone and as cheaply as possible. Any help or information would be great. Thanks! Day 0-3 Italy – Amalfi Coast (day trip to Pompeii) Day 4-7 Italy – Rome Day 8-10 Italy – Florence (day trip to Luca, Pisa or Cinque Terre?) Day 11-13 Italy – Venice Day 14 Italy – Verona (maybe as a day trip from Venice?) Day 15-16 France – Aix-en-Provence Day 17 France – Carcassonne Day 18-19 Spain – Pyrenees (maybe from Jaca) Day 20-23 Spain – Barcelona Day 24-25 Spain – Valencia Day 26-27 Spain – Granada Day 28-29 Spain – Ronda Day 30-31 Spain – Seville Day 32 Spain –Toledo (possible stopover) Day 33-35 Spain – San Sebastian Day 36-37 France – Dordogne Region (not sure if there is anywhere I can stay)

  • Answer:

As for Italy, I think your itinerary is interesting. For Rome, here u can find some info: http://www.aboutroma.com/ Florence - http://www.aboutflorence.com/ Venice - http://www.aboutvenice.org/ Maybe, I would replace Verona with Liguria - http://www.aboutliguria.com/ - a region located in the North West of Italy by the sea. I would suggest you to visit in Liguria the world-famous Cinque Terre - http://www.aboutliguria.com/cinque-terre.html - which are five little villages, five romantic places of extraordinary beauty. Or Genoa - http://www.aboutliguria.com/visit-genoa.html - a very beautiful and interesting city where you can visit the new harbour designed by the architect Renzo Piano, the historical center, many museums and monuments, the Aquarium, etc.

1 day in Venice is enough. Spend more in Verona and make a day trip to lake Garda and another day to one of the amusement parks near the lake.
