I get to go to one country in Europe...where should i go!?!?
-
For my graduation present, my parents are taking me on a trip, i chose to go to Europe. Where should i go? My mom wants to go to Greece. I want to go to Italy, Irleand, or Greece, i have so many places to choose from and i'm not even sure where to go! Where would you go? Why, and what would you see? Have you been to this place? Was it a good trip? How expensive? Remember i still have to go to collage i don't want to drain all my familys funds!

It would be hard to go wrong no matter where you choose to go. I've been living in Italy for the past ten years and can highly recommend visiting here - there are always interesting things to see and do. Right now is a particularly good time to visit because the Italian vacation period (August) is just ending. There aren't as many tourists as during the peak season, and the temperatures will be cooling from the highs of July and August. Everything is open and prices have dropped. In addition to all the tourist attractions here, there are a lot of excellent local festivals coming up around the country like the historical regatta on the Grand Canal in Venice or the Giostra (joust) in Arezzo and many food festivals. How much it costs really depends on where you're coming from and exactly where you go, the accomodations you pick, the restaurants you eat in, etc. There is too big a range of possibilities to give you a good estimate of costs. You can tailor your trip to your budget rather than the other way around.

(I'm German...) + Paris is a nice place but too expensive, I think there are other beautiful places in France, e.g. Provence,... + Italy sounds great, I wasn't there but a lot of my friends visited Italy..., its not that expensive and Rome and Vatican are impressive places too, the food is great and cheap in comparison to France...as long as you like pizza and pasta (and especially ice cream)... really great food... the countryside depends on where you go... but forget about Venice - there're are better places in Italy to visit, which are not that expensive and dirty... + I was in London 2 years ago and was a bit disappointed because there was really nothing special about this city..., and the weather was disapointing too... + I really enjoyed my trip to Lithuania especially the seaside... the food is great and very very cheap (for me, cause Germany has the Euro), the landscape is incredible and the capital Vilnius has nice bars and cafés... but I guess you're more interested in Western/ Southern Europe, so I would suggest Italy...

Hi! I'm Irish. I wouldn't come here. Sorry. It's not very interesting. I would go to Rome in Italy, or Paris in France!
