Lucerne to Zurich train--buy tickets at station?
-
I will be in Switzerland over the summer and need to get from Lucerne to Zurich. I noticed that trains run quite frequently. I was wondering if there is a ticket machine or ticket booth at the Lucerne train station where I can buy a ticket right before my train. For example, say there is a 9:30 AM train and I arrive at the station at 9:00 AM to buy a ticket. Would that be a problem? I am from New Jersey and if I want to go into New York, we have trains at least once an hour and can just buy the ticket from the machine, so I imagine with so many trains that it is a similar setup. I just want to double check so that, if I have to, I buy a ticket in advance. Thank you for the help!
