What are crazy things to do in Europe?

What are the best things to see when in Europe?

  • In a few months we are leaving America again for my dad. He's in the army. We're either moving to Europe or back to Asia again. If we end up in Europe what are the best things to see? How much would it cost to go from Germany to Ireland or Poland? Those are both my heritage. I'd love to see one. Our last name would fit right in at Poland. VonDoloski. Don't answer if your just going to be rude. I hate it when people are rude.

  • Answer:

There is too much to see, so you will have to select a few things. Planing a holiday to Poland is certainly possible. Depending on where you settle and where your ancestors came from it can be an hours travel in a car or 14 hours straight driving. Ireland would be a long drive with one long or two short ferries from Germany, that is why most people fly and rent a car or use bus and train. How much it costs depends on when you book and when you want to fly, but expect between €50 and €200 for your flights there and back. Both countries are worth visiting. As is almost all of Europe.

There are so many things to see! Europe is a very big place! How much to travel? Depends. You might be able to fly cheap on US Military flights...many flights within Europe on discount airlines are cheap. Others cost more. Trains aren't as cheap as they used to be, but they probably have student rates. Take advantage of what you can. You probably know what a great advantage you have being an Army brat...don't waste it!!! Germany to Poland can be very close, depending on the base you're stationed at. BTW, your name is part German...Von is a German prefix. Doloski sounds like it was possibly changed from something Polish. Check things like discount airlines in the region where you'll be living, when you know, and raileurope.com for ideas on costs.

To find out the cost of visiting any of those places, look up how to get there. You'd fly to Ireland but could take the train to Poland. Otherwise, Europe is a very large area and you might want to narrow down your criteria a bit.
