What are bad, decent, and pricey areas to live in Paris?

Living in Rome vs Living in Paris?

  • I am 15 year old male, and I like planning ahead. I am from Canada, therefore I speak some French, although not very good. I really LOVE Rome and I am starting to put the pieces of my future together. I want to live in either Paris or Rome. So please tell me 1. Which city is easier to find a job where being fluent in English is a PLUS. I know that jobs are few and far between even for fluent French or fluent Italian but even in general where is it easier to find a job? Keep in mind I want to move there when im 25, so in 10 years. 2. Which city has cheaper rents that ARE NOT in ghettos or unsafe areas? I know rent will already be expensive, but where can I find a small 1 bedroom apartment in a SAFE area in Rome or Paris and which city is cheaper? 3. What is life like living in those cities? Ive been to both and LOVED THEM so I was wondering what is life like for a native there? Thanks alot. I know i am kind of thinking early but I already know I will need to have a job lined up so I can get my visas and working permits and all the other paperwork. I also plan on becoming a citizen. Thank you, merci, grazie. I look forward to you guys helping me shape out my future :-)

  • Answer:

"Rome is barely nothing"...C'mon are you kidding me? Rome is one of the most famous cities in the world, so much art, architecture, history, good food... And it's ITALY! =) Anyway... I'm Italian and I think probably Italy is one of the best Places to visit, but I'm not sure for "living". Paris is also very beautiful, but I can't tell you how is live there, 'cause I've never been there before. Probably if you already know a bit of French, France would be easier for you. Just choose the city you think you like more. And btw, find a cheap flat in good areas of both cities is not easy... Trust me. Good luck! =)
