What are postal codes in Sweden?

What would I need to think about getting for Sweden.?

  • Ok, So bla bla bla...I'm going to move to Sweden in a couple of years...Anyway, what would I need to bring? What from America is compatible with stuff in Sweden...and so on. Because when I go to Sweden I want to be ready, So like...Can I bring my TV to Sweden, My PC, My Xbox...What all is compatible, And what should I buy for there.

    You'll need electricity outlet converters and possibly transformers if your electronics aren't dual voltage. Check the labels for 120/240 sign - that means all you need is a plug converter not a transformer. And bring warm clothes and rain gear!! =)

I agree with CT. But would add that you can usually pick up some cheap electronic equipment at Stockholm Stadsmission and Myrorna stores. These are like second hand stores which sell everything from clothes to forks and knives. There is also a greak website called Blockett.se, kind of like ebay.com but it's on a first come, first served basis. I got huge B&O TV off there for free and a really good bike for 500:-. Have you visited Sweden before? Have you visited in the winter time? In order to get into the system in Sweden you need a personnummer. Without this you cannot open a bank account, join a language programme, or even borrow a book from the library. This means that you need to find a job BEFORE you move here in most cases. Otherwise you need a visa and to prove you have a partner who is a native Swede via photos etc. Or to be able to support yourself, but this may only be for EU citizens. Anyway, good luck and do as much investigation before you move here about the process.

Your TV is not compatible, all other electronics will work if you have a converter to 220/240 volt.
