What do you Pack for a month long stay?

What do I need to pack besides clothing for 6 month stay in Europe?

  • Adaptor Razorblade What else? thanks!

  • Answer:

Maybe a portable clothes line to hang out your clothes and some travel wash, an umbrella or other waterproofs, hand sanitizer, dihorrea blocker - immodium or other similar(you never know when you are going to get a dodgy stomach), I-pod or something to listen to, some stable currancy such as the euro, general guidebook, phrasebooks, ear plugs, eye mask, blanket(not all places are as clean as they promise to be), snack food in case you cant find anything else, plenty of books- you can swap them later, english language books are expensive and scarce in europe, a lightweight towel, paracetamol, condoms, first aid kit, savlon cream, sunblock etc etc Hope this helps! These are the things that i found useful while travelling europe

I'm not sure why you'd be packing a razor blade? They have stores in Europe...

btw if your flying (idk where your coming from) you can't bring a razor or any larger bottles of shampoo/conditioner so don't even bother packing it just buy it when you get there you don't want a hassle at the airport! you'll need your camera, (money exchange?? if you live in the US) phone charger, just go through a day and write down everything you use throughout the day...and bring all that stuff :) have fun!!

A sleeping bag and a tent and a rain proof coat and windbreaker. Sweaters and jeans and shorts and hiking shoes or boots.

before you go, make sure your cell phone plan includes international roaming. most cell phones include an alarm feature, so you don't need to pack an alarm clock. for any recurring bills you have, set up electronic "bill pay" service, either automatic, or if you'll have internet access you can initiate each payment. consider taking things like a compact umbrella, maps of the areas you'll be visiting (you should be able to get them here cheaper), your favorite toiletries (when I went for a 3 month trip, it was before the airlines restricted you to 3 ounce containers of stuff like shampoo, etc., ha!) and perhaps aspirin, small first aid kit (band-aids probably most important), a small sewing kit, sunglasses, extra eyeglasses if you wear them, pen and paper, a backpack (just flatten it and pack it in a suitcase -- it'll be useful when you go shopping, or go on day trips here and there, you don't want to be lugging around a suitcase!) these are just a few suggestions. you should really think about what you'll be doing and where you'll be going. don't overpack so you'll have room to bring stuff back (or pack old clothes that you don't mind not bringing back to make room in your suitcases)
