What is the best time to visit Italy, France, and England?

  • My mom and step dad decided that we are going to Italy, France, and England the summer of 2013. We have already began to plan some minor details but a major one is when is the best time out of june july and august to visit. I heard that it is absolutely unbearable to go to Italy in August because of the number of tourists and how hot it gets. We will spend 8 days in Italy 3 in England and 3 in France. What hotels should we stay at? planning on going to a different city each day. Lastly did you have any problems communicating to people who live there? I speak very basic French but its enough to get around.

    June, especially early in the month is the best time to be here of your choices. The weather is better and you're on the leading edge of the tourist season. England high season. Safer weather. France and Italy middle season. North of France is better during high season. Don't miss Normandy county. The south is warmer at the coast. Italy from north to south the weather is safe in middle season. 8 days in Sicily is a good choice. Lovely beaches. French Riviera and South of Italy is more expensive during summer time. 3 days in London or Paris will do if you work hard to know this cities. Young French people will speak English. Italians depending of the place will speak good English always with strong accent. Try to avoid July/August if you can.
