Where can I holiday in a warm and safe place in October?

  • I would like to have a 5-days break in Europe as I haven’t taken my remaining holidays. I need a break - I am going on my own (I am a single woman). Where can I holiday in a warm and safe place in October? I just want to swim and go back to my hotel where I will watch TV. I am going to book a flight and the hotel as Solo holidays are very expensive. Holidays are made for couples or families, singles are ignored. Thanks Sue

Canary Islands. If you stay out of the (in)famous tourist areas (like Ballermann), you won't have any trouble. I'd recommend Lanzarote, but the beaches there aren't ideal for swimming (although the hotels usually have pools, ranging from reclassified paddling pools to simply fabulous).

The Canary Islands are still nice and warm this time of year and relatively cheap. Malta is quite nice as well.

Costa del Sol in Spain is still warm this time of year, but the occasional cloudy day will of course be encountered. If you want sun you should head for the Canary Isles. Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise or Puerto del Carmen on Lanzarote should suit you well and the temperatures are in the mid 20s (celsius that is).

Southern Italy is warm, Greece, Cyprus, Southern Spain, Southern Turkey.... and these are all safe places

i would take a spa break in the UK or if you are looking to go abroad go to Spain. still really nice this time of year
