How to travel from Vienna to Paris?

Is my travel itinerary plausible for Paris/Central Europe in Nov/Dec?

  • I recently seperated from the military and have time before I attend college to travel and some money I saved during deployments. I am looking to travel between mid November to mid December. I am looking at flying into Paris and traveling this route Paris-> Amsterdam Amsterdam -> Berlin Prague-> Vienna Vienna -> Munich If I had time I would like to see some other locations, but I am not sure if there will be time. I am also not sure what places would be worth seeing in the winter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Answer:

Train travel is an interesting option here. Look into a eurorail pass, see if you qualify for that. Alternatively there's budget airlines. Berlin can be dreary in November. Prague, Vienna and Munich are nicer, especially when the snow starts. From Vienna you could take a day or two in Salzburg. On the way from Paris to Amsterdam you could stop over in Belgium, either Antwerp or Brussels. In any of these locations you could rent a car (check sixt, good rates in most of these countries) and explore the rest of the country.
