I have £1,500 and a month to travel, where should I go in Europe?
-
I live in the UK and I have been to Belfast, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Hameln, Hannover and Nuremberg. I want to travel in Europe during the summer but I don't know where I want to go. I travel to take pictures of places I've been as I'm learning to be a photographer. I just don't know where I want to go

Answer:
I agree that eastern Europe might well be your place. It can be any former Communist country, but I would go to one that is now in the European Union. There are many cheap flights from the UK, to Prague and several other cities. If you stay in the smaller towns, in hostels, your pounds will be more than enough. Invest in a good guidebook, at first get some from the library, or a charity shop, I like the Lonely Planet series, and read about all those places you might want to see. If you want to travel long distances, think about a train pass, as European you can buy one country InterRail passes, they are about 10 pound per day you can travel, slightly more in some countries. And that way you can see many different places and take photos. I have been to Slovakia and Czech republic this summer, and liked it, friends of my are almost crazy about the Baltic Republics, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. If you like warm weather and beaches, you should go more to the south.

If you are feeling adventurous, you could consider an Inter rail pass. You get a months unlimited second class travel for £320 (if you are under 26) and that entitles you to most trains (and some ferries) in Europe (but not the UK). It also gives discounts on places of interest. £1500 isn't a lot if it is to cover accomodation, travel and food etc - about £50 a day, so you might consider hostels for at least some of the time - for example there are some great 'Stayokay' hostels in Holland and similar in other countries for about £20 a night. And if you are short of cash, you can always sleep on the trains. I would suggest you don't travel alone though, but do take the chance to try and chat with the locals, even if it ends up being like a game of pictionary. The passes cover most trains in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Republic of Ireland. There is a danger that you might try and cover too much and miss out on the real country or just end up with lots of photos of railway stations!. It might be a good idea to pick some new places to you and get under the skin of a a particular country for 3-4 days. Whatever you choose, there is an amazing variety of places of people to see in Europe. Have a great time.

Why don't you come here in Italy?

You could go somewhere in eastern Europe. Most of the countries in that area have beautiful buildings and cultures which u could take pictures of, for example..Hungary(Budapest is a wonderful place) and Romania....Or you could go somewhere in Africa, eastern Africa to a bit more precise, here you could take photos of the people which are, in my opinion, beautiful, especially the Masai tribe. Well i hope u pick a good place. Have a safe trip :)

Surely Turkey, Turkey is a melting pot of many cultures and religions and bridge between continents. With more Greek ruins than Greece, more ancient Roman sites than Italy, irrefutably Turkey is the cradle of civilization. However, Turkey is much more than its history with over 7000km of coastline it's an excellent destination for a sunny holiday and water sports. Who could resist a change to spend a few days cruising along the Turkey's crystal clear turquoise coasts. The pleasure of yachting in Turkey will temp you to come back again and again, to explore yet another stretch of coast and to relive the luxurious ease of life on the sea. In brief, Turkey is a perfect travel destination, has every thing a traveler may want. History, nature, sun, sea, fun, cuisine ... every thing. Most importantly Anatolian people are very hospitable people. Their motto comes from a great Turkish sufistic and philosopher, Mevlana. Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshipper, lover of living, it doesn't matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. Come even if you have broken your vow a thousand times, Come, yet again, come, come.
