How far away is is Madrid's airport from the train station?

This might be a totally "out-there" question but I'm going to be flying into Madrid and then I have to get to Seville. I'm going to be taking the train to Seville. I'm really pumped about the fact that it will only take 2.5hrs to get there but I have no idea where the airport is in relation to the nearest train station in Madrid. Is it connected to the airport or very close by? Has anyone out there gone this route before?

Answer:
Madrid Barajas airport is kinda far from the Atocha station. Good news is that the taxi fares are VERY moderate in Spain. And drivers are honest and kind too. If you are running with the time, don't bother to take a cab from Madrid airport to the Atocha central station (where you'd take your train to Seville). It wil take half an hour to 45 minutes (depending on the traffic) and cost you approx. EUR 30
