Questions about becoming a FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT?

  • well first of all....im super interested in becoming a foreign exchange student, but i dont know much about how i can become one, or what to expect. so anyway i was wondering if it were possible to go during the summer...but if i did go then what would i have to do? cuz i dont really want to miss my school year, and i thought id go during the summer...so like how would i keep busy while im there? im a high school student from america that is 16 years old, am i old enough?. ive heard that you have to speak more than one language or the country's language, but i only mainly know english, so does that ruin my chances?? ive also heard it costs alot...so if anyone has any helpful information for me that would be awesome, i REALLY want to go....but dont know much of the requirements....also is it scary, what kind of stuff would i have to expect?? thanks :D

    To be a foreign exchange student, you must go during the school year. you must speak the language of the country you go to and the fee is over $8,000. Page below has lots of sites with info on exchange programs , including student exchanges and summer programs.

Well, to start you may want to continue to work on your English grammar. This questions was painful to read. Second, you should ask your school counselor for options. However, my advice to you is that exchange or study abroad programs are much more fitting for your college years. It will be easier to find classes that transfer and you will hopefully be more mature. Also, they are often expensive.
