Whats the best part of Spain to go on holiday.?

My ideal place for a first spanish holiday would be Majorca. The twin resorts of Cala Bona/Cala Millor are ideal for all your requirements except that they are not close to the airport. prices depend on what standard of accomodation you want. Unfortunately many self catering prices are quoted based on 4 sharing. A 3* Thomson half board deal would probably suit you best. Checkout your local travel agent because you are a first time traveller. But look for travel insurance separately. It costs about £80 for a full year cover for my wife and I from 'Insure' Once you are confident about travelling abroad it is often more economical to build your own holidays.

Hiya if you havent been abroad much i would recommend either alicante or Benidorm. There are loads of flights loads of hotels some gorgeous beaches, and entertainment like theme parks bars clubs etc. Both are very close to Alicante airport. You can book with most high street or online tour places to get hotel flights and coach travel to and from the airport Some people might argue they are too 'Touristy' but i go there virtually every year and love it each time and i dont often go abroad either. I would suggest southern spain. The beaches around Cadiz (you can look up Cadiz, Spain at www.mapquest.com) The beaches near there are wonderful. It can be pretty spendy though. I would suggest going in the 'off' season, during the winter, to avoid the crowd and the prices. But make sure to book plenty in advance. I would suggest booking hotels online at pricelineeurope.com. You can search very easily and it will usually show you pictures, and I think it also has the best rates! Good luck. Have fun on your trip!

I have been to Barcelona and Madrid, as well as Toledo and Seville. I would recommend Madrid, Toledo, and Seville over Barcelona. Also, although I have not been there, I have heard good things about the island of Ibiza which is part of Spain.

Try Salou it's got a mixture of everything and the locals are really friendly, It's got a theme park close by and if you fly into Reus airport your only 15 to 30 Min's away from the resort. Have a nice holiday wherever you go .

Try La Pindea on the Costa Dorada. 10 mins from the airport, hotels right on the beach, enough shops and bars to keep you going all day and the bigger resort of Salou 5 mins away.

I would also recommend Salou. I went there on my honeymoon back in September 2004. I have also booked this year in September. This time I am taking my children, ages 9,6 and 1.

Salou it's good
