How to travel by train in France?

How can you travel by train from St.Malo in France to Benicassim Festival in Spain?

• Me and my 3 friends are planning on going to Benicassim festival next year in Spain (near Valencia), we live in Jersey and it's too expensive for flights so we thought of getting the ferry to St.Malo and then getting the train down through to spain.We just need some advice as to which train stations are best to go through and how long (roughly it would take and cost) if anyone can help!

  St. Malo to Benicassim is possible by train and there are a variety of routes from which to choose, all of which include a sleeper/couchette on the overnight section. The quickest is 21hrs 20mins and involves 3 changes at Rennes, Paris & Barcelona. Just 18mins longer, but possibly better, is a route with 2 changes at Paris & Port Bou. In both these cases it's necessary to transfer from Paris Montparnasse to Paris Austerlitz.
