What would I wear in London and Paris mid March?

What is the weather like in London and Paris during March?

  • In 2012 my chorus with school might be going on a trip to London and Paris. And I was wondering is it cold or warm. Cause if my chorus does go there! I have no Idea what kind of clothes to pack. So what type of clothing would you recommend to wear during March in London and Paris. Will a winter coat be needed! Hope you can help me out!

  • Answer:

It does depends on what you are used to and what the weather is doing. Weather in Europe is never predictable, in March even less so. I often go to a meeting in France in the end of March, not all that far from Paris, and some years we have lunch outside in the sun, other years it is almost freezing. As a general rule, jeans or trousers that are a little warmer, layers for your top half like T-shirt, blouse and sweater and a good coat or a fleece and a rain jacket. If you are from a country where winter gets to -40 with lots of snow, you will find it mild. But if you are from a country where it never freezes, you will want to bring your warmest gear. Expect the same kind of temperature a fridge is, +4 C or a little warmer, or higher 30's F, but watch the weather predictions just before you travel. Just google London Weather and Paris Weather and you will get a load of weather predictions. It can drop below freezing if there is a wave of cold weather.
