Can I use France Switzerland Eurail pass for Paris to Interlaken TGV train?

Eurailpass (trains in Europe)?

  • I am planning on doing some traveling in between Italy, Switzerland and France in June. I think a railpass might be the best way to go but I am so confused! What kind of trains is the pass good for? I know there are some exceptions (ie. Eurostar) so I don't want to buy it only to find out I can't use it for such and such. I want to use it to go around Italy, then from Italy to Switzerland, then from Switzerland to south of France then from there to Paris. Is it good for the TGV in France?? Help much appreciated!!!

  • Answer:

That's cool, I am planning on traveling through Italy, Switzerland and the south of France this year, using a rail pass, too. I've done some research on their website already and came to the conclusion that you can use the pass for all trains and even some ferries. The only trick is that there are trains (mostly just high speed trains and night trains) that require payment of supplement or a reservation fee, but don't worry, it's not more than a couple Euros. I can recommend you this website for checking if for a train you want to take any extra payment should be made. http://plannerint.b-rail.be/bin/query.exe/en?L=profi& Hope you'll enjoy your trip!
