Trains from Barcelona to Paris?

Is anyone familiar with any barcelona/paris hostels? Or Barcelona and Paris in general?

  • Me and my friends are planning a trip to paris, and then barcelona after our gcse's this year and we were wondering if anyone knew of any hostels that had apartment style/ hotel room. e.g private bathroom and a desk or something similar. If not please recommend any youth hostels! Or even if there is any hotels that allow 16 year olds!- though i know that tends to be rare due to us being minors. On a side note, which is your favourite city out of them both, and why?:)

    I stayed in non-private hostels in each place so I can't help you with that. But I will tell you that Barcelona and Paris I found very similar in terms of mood (in a good way). I visited Paris before Barcelona and I kept referring to Barcelona as the Paris of Spain--they both have a famous arc, a famous cathedral (Sagrada Familia/Notre Dame), famous street (Las Ramblas/Champs-Elysees). Both are very artsy, albeit different types of artsy. I personally liked Barcelona better because of the different things it has to offer--city, beach, mountains. It's beautiful. Paris is very charming--the whole city just looks like it came out of a painting. I would say Paris has more toursity things within the city compared to Barcelona, but you would have a great time in each place!

I am agree that most European hotels/hostel has age restriction and you could not book hotel when you are under 18. Otherwise, it would be helpful if you have parents permission papers in order to book a places under parents supervision. I am familiar enough with Paris as I already spent my holiday there, I am not sure about hostels but you can try to search it via well known hostels agencies such as hostel.com, and hostelworld.com http://hostel.com http://hostelworld.com Consider to stay at studio rental if you want a rooms which has apartment style, it's cheaper option rather than an apartment rental or a hotel room, try lodjee.com to search studio room in Paris http://www.lodjee.com/paris I am not sure about Barcelona, have not visit it yet.

I don't think you'll be permitted to check into either hostels or hotels if you're under 18 without an accompanying adult in either country. Otherwise, try www.hostelworld.com.
