What are some "Must See" Historic places in Spain to see?

  Madrid: Palacio Real, Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor, Templo de Dobod, Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcalá, everything on the Gran Vía, El Prado Segovia: The Aqueduct, the Cathedral, the Alcázar, and about ten really neat churches. Casa de Picos, Casa de Cadenas. Toledo: Cathedral, Home/museum of El Greco, Church of Sto Tomé, Two synagogues, a mosque, the city walls and gates, and the Parador, which is where Vista de Toledo was painted. Also, two bridges, an Alcázar and a couple of small castles outside of town. Avila: The walls, the churches that relate to Sta Teresa, her home, the convents she lived in. About two or three hundred castles and former royal palaces. Windmills at Campo de Criptana near Ciudad Real. EVERYTHING in Barcelona! Cathedrals in almost any city. Esp. Burgos, León, and Santiago de Compustela. Sevilla: Cathedral and Giralda, Alcázar, Parque María Luisa, Torre de Oro, Barrio Santa Cruz, and Plaza Nueva. Granada: Cathedral (do you see a theme here...cathedrals are REALLY important in Spain, more so than in a lot of other countries). The Alhambra. There's more, but that's your must see.
