Housing in Baumholder, Germany?

Baumholder Germany, does anyone know anything about it?

  • I am moving Baumholder Germany. I am an Army Wife, what is housing like? Is there any links to the housing so I can see some? Just little details to fill in what you'd like to know when you move to a new place.

    Have to admit i never heard about it before. But after some googling (all in german "it was not possible to find english pages about this "town" so guess the links won´t really help you) all i found out was that it is called "little america" by the locals because so many US military personal lives there. it´s a very very small "town" only 4.069 inhabitants (there exist a bar called coyote Ugly "could this just be because of so much lonely US soldiers? ;-) it says only 59 people per square mile (so i guess "room" will not be the problem). for the pics i´m sorry but this was the "best" i have found http://www.vgv-baumholder.de/die_gemeinden/stadt_baumholder/baumholder_gem_bild.jpg So i hope for you that you really like small towns. If not at least there is hope because the next biggest "city" is Kaiserslautern (100.000 citizens) is about 20 miles away.
