What is a really good restaurant in Frankfurt?

Good stop from Venice to Frankfurt?

  • I live in Wiesbaden, and my husband are taking a pretty long trip around Europe. Our last long drive will be from Venice, Italy back to Wiesbaden (right near Frankfurt, Germany). Any suggestions on where to stop that's almost right on the way? Either for a restaurant and a nap or overnight.. looking for a place worth going, preferably in Austria or Switzerland.. Oh, and I have been to Munich already

    If you didn't go to Neuschwanstein when you were in Munich, Füssen is right on the route from Venice to Frankfurt and a little more than half way. In addition to Neuschwanstein Castle, there Hohenschwangau and several good restaurants. Füssen is a nice town itself. http://www.viamichelin.com/

Bled in Slovenia, around 4 hours by car from Venice. It is the most romantic place ever. Don't forget to try their famous creme cake.

Go north on A 27 in direction to Vittorio Veneto, follow SS 51 to Longarone & Pieve di Cadore, go further on SS 51 until Cortina d´ Ampezzo. Continue heading north in direction to Dobbiaco (Toblach),then west in direction to Bruneck / Brixen...if you enter Austria (North-Tyrol) make your decision, follow´river Inn in direction to Munich, continue heading north in direction Mittenwald / Garmisch or choose crossing austrian/german border a litte west (Reutte / Fernpass / Füssen)...!? Espacially north-italian / south-tyrolean kitchen is delightful. You will find a lot of very well done dishes there...keep your eyes and nose open and you will find places of interest, good cooking and spending the night.
