How far is Alicante Terminal Train station from the airport?

Is it better to get Pounds and Euros at the London Airport or to get Euros at the train station in Paris?

  • Is it better to get Pounds and Euros at the London Airport (from USD) or to get Euros at the train station in Paris? I'm planning to visit London and Paris, but I will take a plane to London and then a train from there to Paris. Are there money exchange places at the train stations in Paris? And would they have a better exchange rate from USD to Euros at the London (Heathrow) Airport or at the train station in Paris?

  • Answer:

If you get Euros in England you pay twice, once from dollars to pound, and once from pounds to Euros. Try to get a few pounds for use in the train and in London, (maybe you can get those in the USA,) and get your Euros in Paris. Cheapest will be to use a bank card in an ATM. Check that your card is ready for that, and how much it will cost. There are ATMs everywhere, and you pay less cost than changing cash, sometimes even no charge at all. And you get a better rate too. Bring some $ for emergency use, money you can use when you get back home. And bring your credit card too, if you have one, if only for emergencies. Use in an ATM is mostly more expensive. There will be an money exchange office in or very near to the train station, as it is the place most foreign money gets into Paris. (All the people coming in from London.)
