Can I use France Switzerland Eurail pass for Paris to Interlaken TGV train?

I have a few questions concerning the Eurail Select Pass and the reservation of seats?

• I will be going to France, Italy and Switzerland in July. I am considering buying a Eurail Select pass. But I have a few questions concerning the use of this pass. 1) How can I validate the pass? can I do it at the station on the day I arrive? 2) Do you recommend me to reserve seats before I go to europe or reserve it until I arrive at the station? (coz I will be travelling in peak season, I am worry that seats will be fully booked) 3) If I reserve it at the station, is it possible to still get a seat if I reserve it in the morning/afternoon for a night train on the day I travel? (say from Geneva to Rome) 4) How much does it cost to reserve a seat on the web and at the station?

  Hey I just did what you're about to do! 1) Yes you can validate it on the first day you arrive. You have to take a ticket from one of the machines and wait for your number to be called. After you show the person working at the ticket office the pass, they will stamp it for you. 2) You can reserve your seats at the station but since you mentioned that you are travelling during peak season, I would highly advise that you reserve it before hand (because the locals use it too). 3) Yes it is possible. When I arrived to each city, the first thing I did was reserve a seat for my next trip. However, you can reserve it on the same day. 4) It is about the same price. The web is a little bit cheaper but they charge you a convenience fee so it comes out to be the same price. International trips are a little bit more expensive than domestic ones. *Remember to have your Eurail and reservation tickets with you when you're on the train, they have ticket officials who come by to check your tickets and passport. *If you are travelling internationally, remember that your platform is going to be different from when you are travelling domestically. *If you have more questions, send me a private message.
