What is necessary to study abroad and what would you major in?

I want to study abroad in Russia. What places would you recommend for me to study at?

Hello! I'm interested in studying abroad in Russia for a semester, summer, or year. (Not longer though.) I am an American student currently studying Psychology. I can't study abroad until at least another year or two, so I don't know what city/town I may want to study in yet. I still need to research and find information. I'm open to many different types of places to study. (: Can anyone give me advice for studying abroad in Russia? What places would you recommend I study at? Any other help? Also, I really appreciate answers from both Russians and people who have previously studied there.
