How hard is it to get into Auburn University?

How hard is it to get into Moscow University as a foreigner, to do a doctor or Bachelor?

  • So starting from two weeks onwards, I'll be studying at an American University (colorado, in case it matters) as an international student. The plan is to do a Geology major and Russian minor. I was thinking about doing my doctor or Bachelor at Moscow University. So the question is, with my previous education, will it be hard for me to get accepted there? Also, will the Russian skills that I will have learned by then be sufficient?

  • Answer:

Ummm... I had a horrendous high school GPA, but got accepted into Moscow State University (I am guessing that's what you mean). You are an American, you have money....trust me, they want you. You will NOT learn good enough Russian in College. You need to be immersed and learning in the classroom 35 hours a week for a year to become fluent. Moscow State University has a "preparatory department" that allows you to study Russian a year before you go into the actually university to work on your degree. www.cie.ru

It is sometimes easier for a foreigner to get accepted into MU than a local. However, they will definitely look at your academic records, financial ability to pay tuition, physical test results, Russian language test results. http://www.msu.ru/en/admissions/
